Scared

While walking in Vancouver I came across this man on his knees atop a piece of cardboard. He had a tattered blanket on his back and never looked up. In front of him was a sign which said,"Homeless, alone. Thieves stole everything I owned. I am sleeping out with no blankets or tent. Hungry, cold, tired,scared, please help me."

I watched this fellow for 5 minutes. No one looked at him except to avoid tripping.

The people who live like this are not all the same, but they do have some things in common. They are alone; they are in pain; and many, like this man, are scared. Take a look at them, give them a buck. You my not be able to give them a home, but you will have helped them through the day. And maybe, at the end of the day, you will have made your own a much better story
