Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my backyard during a misty morning in California. I am a self taught photographer with a deep passion for capturing life's precious moments.

Time

This photo was a miracle shot as I like to call it. It was early in January, still wet and misty from the previous night. Colors pop in the grayish day, it was a calm yet relaxing morning.

Lighting

The lighting was completely natural, that's the beauty of a mixture of cloudy day and the right timing, it provides the perfect lighting for the perfect shot.

Equipment

For this photo I used a NIkon D5300 with a Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens. No other equipment was used for this photo.

Inspiration

What inspired me for this photo was the perfect time of day, the right setting, and the misty environment. It all came together and created the perfect opportunity to capture a rare glimpse of just how amazing nature can truly be.

Editing

None was necessary.

In my camera bag

I normally just carry my Nikon D5300 with my Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II DX AF-S lens and my Pentax ZX-10 film camera with a 28-80mm Aspherical lens.

Feedback

The only advice I have for other enthusiastic photographers, is to be patient and wait for the right opportune moment when the time is just right for the perfect shot. There are many to be found throughout nature and amazing art to be found in it.
