Behind The Lens

Location

I was on my way to visit my mother in Georgia. I have never been there before. But I'm in love with every thing about that state. I'm also a writer and most of my (unpublished books right now) books place in beautiful Georgia. When I finally made it to this state, it was pitch black outside. So I didn't get to really see beauty of it. The morning finally came and it was pouring rain outside. I was so upset. I wanted to see different historical landmarks. All off a sudden, the rain stopped, I went outside and I saw this beautiful rainbow. I felt was a sign. I grabbed my camera and shot this photo. I was happy to have been able to experience this in my favorite state.

Time

Mid morning, before we headed out for breakfast.

Lighting

I had my settings set up for nighttime photography. I didn't have time change my settings so I was surprised that it took a beautiful photo.

Equipment

I shot this photo using a Canon EOS Rebel T5 with my 73-300mm lens. Natural lighting. No tripod, just my eyes and my camera.

Inspiration

I love nature and the amazing things it does. Rainbows are one of those natural beauties.

Editing

I didn't do anything with this except I shot in RAW. Then I adjusted the colors so they stood out better in the slightly dull sky.

In my camera bag

I always pack my Canon EOS Rebel T5 camera, my Canon 58mm lens, my Canon 73-300mm lens, at least two, if not more backup batteries, multiple SD cards, a cleaning cloth, my chargers, my tripod, and my vivitar flash.

Feedback

ALWAYS ALWAYS take more than one photo of the same image. I always keep shooting. Sometimes your camera may glitch and you could miss it in the blink of an eye. So take one and simultaneously.
