Behind The Lens

Location

I took it from home, in my bed.

Time

In the morning, when it was really sunny outside so I could take advantage of the natural light.

Lighting

I personally prefer using natural lighting in my photography, such as this one. If you haven't yet tried it out, I suggest you do.

Equipment

I took this using my Canon EOS 70D with a EFS 18-135mm lens on. I simply placed my camera on a tripod, and set the timer.

Inspiration

I've finally reached the point where I am comfortable showing my body to some extent, and wanted to express my confidence.

Editing

This image didn't require very much editing, I applied an HDR filter, turned it black and white, and played with the brightness and contrast.

In my camera bag

Everywhere I go, I make sure to have my Canon EOS 70D with me along with my 50mm lens because you never know what your going to find.

Feedback

I suggest making sure your background isn't cluttered. You want the viewers eye to concentrate on the main subject which in this case is me. I removed many things from my wall and bed in order to capture this image. Also, try different poses, when you go back and look through the images chose the one in which you look the most comfortable.
