Besides the selective highlights zones, the isolation of the subject and thus, the simplification of the composition is crucial in these situations. So, I decided to use my long lense at its longest end to isolate it best. Obviously, there were other compositional aspects that I had to take in consideration, namely the background. I also used the widest aperture to blur the background to give it a suggestive aspect in order not to distract the attention from the subject matter.

The blooms among the big leaves inspired me for such a frame. There are some waterlilies that are more styled than others...
