Location
Torq Waterfall Killarney National Park Ireland. This is our favorite waterfall and we visit this place once a year. This photo from 2016 is our favorite because the water was not completely washing though and covering the rocks so it shows off all of the rocks and simply looks stunning.Time
Afternoon is when I captured this photo. The lighting at Torq Waterfall is great from 10:am to about 2:pm.Lighting
I preferred this lighting to show the green vegetation and natural colors. It frames the beauty of the water flowing through.Equipment
Nikon D 750 Nikor lens 50 mm No flash My tripod was a boulder, I enjoy using nature for stabilizing nature shots.Inspiration
Ireland is my inspiration for this photo. The entire island is filled with natural landscapes and the photos of castles and beaches are amazing but this waterfall pulls you in to the island and displays just how incredible Ireland is, basically you fall in love with this place and look for more places like this and there are so many more to find this is still our favorite.Editing
I did nothing to this image. I thought I may soften things up but really love that I captured how it looked that day and focused on keeping this photo exactly how it is.In my camera bag
Nikon D 750, Nikon 50 mm. Nikon 18-140 mm. Sand bag for stabilizing camera. This is it for international travel at home I would have a tripod and a couple of sigma art lenses 30 mm and 50 mm.Feedback
My advice is to use a 50 mm set to auto or Aperture on what ever camera brand you prefer when you slow down your shutter speed it will be important to rest the camera on something if you do not have a tripod take a bean bag along or rest on your camera bag to get a shot like this one so the water will turn out silky.
