Location
on the Mount Vernon Trail on one of my early morning walks while I was staying at my Daughter's home in Alexandria, Virginia. The sun was rising over the National Harbor.Time
It was about 7:30AM.Lighting
I caught the early morning light through the mist rising off the National Harbor at the perfect time.Equipment
I used the digital camera straight from my Samsung. Nothing else.Inspiration
I was going through a particularly difficult time and used my morning walks for meditation and prayers and I happened to look up at precisely the right moment and was moved by the way the light hit the mist and water through the trees.Editing
It's all natural. No filters or other adjustments had to be made. Sometimes God and nature do all the work.In my camera bag
I have an old Canon EOS I like to use occasionally but on this particular day I was fortunate to have captured the perfect moment with my digital phone.Feedback
Several years, ago i caught a water spout as it was forming on Charlotte Harbor and took a series of photos capturing it as it formed from a ribbon of light and wayer to hitting land and turning from a white tornado into a scary black one. i was driving homr from work. Sometimes it pays to just get your head up to look around you. Something beautiful is always near to be captured.
