This photo was taken when I found a new path close to where I live that I had never seen before. I was exploring it with my brother when I noticed this small butterfly that kept flying near me, it landed on a nearby leaf and stayed there for a few moments allowing me to get closer and take nearly a dozen photos of it before it flew off.Time
This photo was taken on a sunny afternoon. 2:20 pm to be exactLighting
I really wanted the shadow of the butterfly because of my love of symmetry so I was just trying to position myself so the sunlight would give the butterfly a nice shadow.Equipment
This was actually taken with just my iPhone 5sInspiration
I truly love an photo that has nature of animals in it, so whenever I see a picture of one or both I instantly take as many pictures as I think necessary of itEditing
There was no post-processing done on this photoIn my camera bag
Normally I just have my Sony cyber-shot DSC-H300 and spare batteries and memory cards in my bag.Feedback
My advice would be that if your first thought or instinct is to take a picture, don't second guess it. Just pull out whatever photo taking device you have and snap as many pictures from as many different angles as you can.
