Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on our sunday walk with my family. We were at my youth home town while visiting my parents. Local inland port had a bunch of ducks waiting for some treats from tourists and then I spotted this albino flock with there duck mother. The birds followed us to shore and I decided to lay down on ground to take some family photos of them.

Time

It was approximately 2pm on a cloudy day with heavy chance of rain.

Lighting

Just natural light. No flashes used.

Equipment

Canon EOS 400D + EF 50mm f1.8

Inspiration

The inspiration came solely from the albino colouring of the duck as they have quite low life expectance. This one among siblings managed to stay alive until they were grown and had to move to the south before winter came.

Editing

No post processing other than changing the format away from RAW to jpeg with normal image processing.

In my camera bag

Now my normal set includes Canon EOS 7D and various lenses from 50mm prime to 55-250mm zoom. 2 flashes and a tripod. For the macro world I keep my Tamron 90mm f2.8 along the ride

Feedback

As always my main advice is to keep your eyes open and actually see the world without staring your blue emitting light distraction. ????
