Location
This photo was taken in Switzerland by the lake. There was a ledge and the little bird landed there, opportunity knocked, I took it.Time
Unfortuntely can't remember the time. Could of been the morning or after lunch.Lighting
I just shot using natural light from the sun.Equipment
This photo was shot using the canon rebel xsi and I used one of my zoom lenses 250mmInspiration
I wanted to take and spend some time with nature. I thought to spend some hours by the lake and just let the moments find me. The little bird caught my attention and turned out being a good shot. I feel like s/he is in thought.Editing
I did use some photo coloring for this but my main goal was simple to enhance a little while keeping it as natural as possible. In my camera bag
I usually have a variety of lenses but especially since I like to shoot close ups of animals I always have my zoom on my camera. I do have wider angled lenses but I find when I am shooting for a specific purpose I don't normally change lenses. Depending where your going, what purpose, etc. But I would say I carry at least one additional lense to the one on my camera.Feedback
Go to a place where birds/animals are more carefree to whether people will be around or not. I find for example attempting a shot like this in my backyard would be more challenging than in a place where they are more accustomed to people. Keep your eyes open and be ready at any time to shoot. Also beware of your energy being at peace or neutral is better then being over the moon excited. Animals sense our energy you can get better shots when your energy levels is not over stimulated. Just remember to keep a good distance. Shows respect for them, while you shoot them.
