Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken near a fellow dork's home in Hasketon. We are dorksonahill, we live to explore.

Time

This photo was taken around midnight. Was quite cloudy and being in a field, there was not much light at all. It was not cold, nor was it warm. I remember it being so, like you didnt really notice it at all.

Lighting

Other than an insignificant amount of light from the moon coming through the clouds. All the lighting is coming from the center of the photo. Its very simple an not very technical in the slightest. A dog lead with a whisk of wore wool on the end. Spinning it around with a camera on a 30 second exposure.

Equipment

Go pro hero 4 with a tripod. Simple and sweet.

Inspiration

I could come up with some ostentatious story but in all honestly. It was just spur of the moment. We all appreciate good photo using a long exposure of the shutter as does anyone. We put one and one together an thought why not try and make two. Ten minutes later the dorks did just that.

Editing

No post production on this image, no filters or color grading.

In my camera bag

I normally have a Cannon 5d Mark 2, three extra batteries, two extra memory cards and different lenses depending on what I am doing.

Feedback

If anyone wants to capture an image like this, iv explained everything needed to achieve it above. Just be creative and spontaneous.
