This was taken on a foggy night in a field with trees on the other side. I just do photography as a hobby but love it so much and capturing the beauty in life.Time
This photo was taken one winters night. I remember it being so so cold and my fingers were numb and I could barely operate my camera. I had to get this shot through because I knew the lights and trees were in the perfect place. It turned out to be a greatly composed photo.Lighting
I started by taking about 1 second exposures but the trees were very dark and it looked nice but I knew I could do better. I went up until I got up to 30 seconds or something like that. It was so great because the light post was perfectly behind the middle tree and you can't see the post.Equipment
I used a Lumix GH3 and a three legged travel tripod.Inspiration
I was taking a hike up on this trail and took photos along it and when I got down I came into this field with fog and trees and I was about to just leave this spot when I looked up and saw these trees with fog making the light so interesting and I knew this would be the best photo I would take all night. It's all about being in the right place at the right time.Editing
I did I did some contrast changes and other very minor things but the main change I made was changing the color from a orange to more of a greenish color to add to the mysterious look.In my camera bag
To be honest all I usually have is my trusty panasonic GH3 and a Panasonic 20mm lens and sometimes a small tripod.Feedback
All I can say is look for things you haven't seen or think is something that is so unique and beautiful. When you see it you will know. Just go on photo trips in nature and find new ways of looking at things. All my best photos I did not plan for they either happened because I saw something beautiful or I looked at something in a new way.
