This photo was taken at my husband's office. He has a child-like appreciation of dinosaurs, so when the children's ministry grew grass for Easter, he brought his own garden in to join the collection.Time

A little experimentation can take you a long way. I was really just playing around with my new filters and saw the fun of this miniature dino-world. I think that's probably the way kids (and my hubs!) see things as their imagination creates alternate realities. It was a nice capture to bring our adult minds into that same reality.Editing

Be willing to go out of your comfort zone. Looking back at this photo, I'm recalling how different and exciting my macro filters were. I was eager to experience the world anew as I peered through that lens. It's that energy that started my love of photography and now keeps me going. Having been 11 years since I got my first camera, it's easy to fall into ruts of what I know rather than taking a step out to experiment with something new. Be willing to jump into a new style to hit refresh on your energy for photography.
