Behind The Lens

Location

Photo captured at my lawn in Hattiesburg Mississippi.

Time

It's about around 11:00am when I took this picture of this flower at my lawn.

Lighting

No need to have artificial lights to take pictures of nature. We just need to know where the sun and the object that we are capturing.

Equipment

I just used my iPhone 6s Plus camera to capture this photo with the help of a cheap macro lens that I bought at Walmart for $3.00 (it was on sale that time when I bought it) and the natural light from the sun.

Inspiration

It inspired me to take this picture because the flower is so unique, the color is unique and the size of it, it's so little about 1cm in size. It was a challenge for me to take this photo of this flower due it its size. Thinking that this flower is just 1cm in size it's really hard to take a nice picture of it. But I did it! It's just a matter of having a lot of patience, because you're going to take a lot of shots to get the right one, specially just using an iphone camera and to be under the sun taking this picture. I was inspired because not all even professional photographer can use an iphone to take a nice macro picture of a flower. I told myself if others have skills taking photos with their high tech and expensive cameras, me I can take nice pictures using my iPhone 6s Plus camera. It takes skills to take such nice pictures.

Editing

No I didn't used anything for post-processing because it will make the picture worse, you know it's just natural sunlight and the power of iPhone 6s Plus camera and the cheap macro lens. The only thing that I add to this picture is the Watermark that's all.

In my camera bag

I always have my iPhone 6s Plus phone with me and the cheap macro lens in my purse and in my camera bag is my Canon PowerShots SX 60 HS camera.

Feedback

Patience is what we need when capturing pictures like this. Always look at the lighting if it's too bright, to dark and just enough to take pictures. This is what I can say no matter how cheap or expensive your camera is, it need skills to capture a good photo.
