This was taken at Milk Studios in NYC where we took a photography trip with a group from my college.Time
The time of day does not really matter in this image being the fact that is was taken in a studio environment, but if you want to know it was about 3:30 PM local time haha.Lighting
This was shot using profoto strobes, a 4 foot soft box on a stand with an arm holding up up at an angle almost at a 45 degree angle above the subjectEquipment
This was shot on a Nikon D4s with a 50mm prime lens. The strobes were Profoto brand strobes with a Wesscott 4 foot soft boxInspiration
A group from my college went to NYC for a week hoping to learn more about fashion photography so we rented a studio and some models to help us out. I think we all learned a lot both about ourselves and about fashion photographyEditing
The only post processing done to this image was the removal of a few sensor spots that we picked up while shooting in the desert in New MexicoIn my camera bag
My bag normally contains a Canon 7D Mark II, a godox 360W, Canon 24-70 2.8L II, Canon 70-200 2.8L II, Canon Battery grip, Black rapid strap, Peak Desgine capture pro.Feedback
My advice is don't be afraid to try something new. This was the first time we had ever tried anything like this and all we did was mess around until what we were getting was the same thing I had in my mind (Maybe even better).
