Pink Lady Slipper

I was hiking with my "extreme" hiking group. Michele's knee bothers her so I agreed to keep an eye on her as we went up the marked path, rather than bushwhack thru thorns. The trail had been changed around a rock rather than directly up. We took the newly marked path to find several Pink Lady Slippers in bloom. Had we taken the old path, we would have missed these as we never saw any more. Also this flower has a short bloom period, we were fortunate to have caught it.
