Behind The Lens

Location

It was the backyard. Spring time. My daughter was playing, in the water table. Almost completely soaked from the table. She came to tell me something. I just couldn't resist. I had to take the shot. I have always loved photography. I have been self taught. I just try to shot whenever and wherever I can. Whatever I can.

Time

This was the early afternoon, of the super hot days of spring. It was all i could do to keep her busy. Outside is where she loves. So that is where we where.

Lighting

I love the look of getting some of a sun burst, so i try to get it when ever i can ( I love landscape photos, getting the sunburst in landscape photos i believe is what make them). So I try to keep some of that in my pictures. Somehow it gives the photos something extra.

Equipment

I have a Cannon Rebel T3. It was the kit lens ( 18-55 mm). I just rested the camera on my knee for stability.

Inspiration

Being that I am very much and amateur at photography. I just try to get out and take as many as I can. Of what ever I can. I try to take as many photographs of my daughter as I can. It also doesn't help that she is so photogenic.

Editing

No, I did not do any post processing to this photograph

In my camera bag

I don't have much in the way of equipment. Just the camera and 2 lenses. The portrait lens (18-55) and my 55-250 lens. So I don't leave the house with out those.

Feedback

The best thing I find is to take your camera with you and take pictures of what ever you think is interesting. If you use the manual settings, it may take a few try's to get the desired setting (happens to me all the time). The more you try and read and practice. The better you will become.
