Thanks Well I am Just a traveller cum photography enthusiast. I have taken this Photo at Budha-Mandhymaheshwar. Budha MadhyaMaheshwar is a 2 kms steep trek from Main Madhyamaheshwar temple complex through large moors and valleys and then would reach in a small lake, where a full Panoramic range of Himalayas consisting of the peaks, Chaukhamba,Mandani Twin Peaks, Kedarnath, Neelkanth, etc. The views on top of the ridge are splendid as Chaukambha and its appurtenant peaks tower above us. Their are tiny ponds which reflect the snow peakS in great detail, a view that will leave you spell bounded and feel blessed. The beautiful views are intoxicating and provide a great joy and high to the trekker. Madhyamaheshwar is situated at at altitude of 3500 meters and is the fourth temple to be visited in the Panch Kedar Pilgrimage Circuit, the first three being Kedarnath, Tungnath, Rudranath and the fifth one Kalpeshwar being visited after Madhyamaheshwar. The middle part (navel) of the bull, considered to be a form of Shiva which he took to hide from Pandavas as they were searching for him, is worshipped here. The temple is believed to be build by Pandavas the heroes of the epic Mahabharata. MadMaheshwar itself is a moderate trek which is 14 kms from Ransi.Time
It was taken on 04/10/2015 at 7:53 am after 2km steep trek.Lighting
Lighting was not perfect on that day. as we started our trek in early morning it was very chill & cloudy. But when we reached on top Sun was in full bloom & making the clouds details less.Equipment
Well i was having 2 cam at that time but this particular shot was taken with a simple compact cam Nikon Coolpix-L340. Exif details -F/3.1, 1/320 sec., ISO-80, Focal Length-23mm, No Flash . even i was using my hat to cover my camera.Inspiration
Actually this temple comes in Panch Kedar Pilgrimage circuit. The other temples in the circuit include: Kedarnath, Tungnath and Rudranath to be visited before Madmaheshwar and Kalpeshwar to be visited after Madmaheshwar. These temples are believed to be build by Pandavas the heroes of the epic Mahabharata. The Pandavas then prayed at these five places and gained forgiveness from the Lord. It is also known in the area that the stone temples present at these places were build by the Pandavas. The historians have doubt on this and they proclaim that the temples age not more than 1500 years. So being a Hindu is was great & beautiful feeling of satisfaction. I was feeling Blessed by the Lord Shiva. So i dit not want to loose a single moment of that euphoria & clicked so may pics & this one of them.Editing
Ya little bit post processing like basic settings brightness-contrast , vibrancy adjustment & converted my this colored Image in B&W for this soothing feel.In my camera bag
Well I am a Nikon Fan & always love to shoot with this. so i have one semi-pro DSLR Nikon D7000 with lens 18-105 & 50 mm. Secondly i always carry with me any bridge or P&S cam mainly Nikon P510. L340 for telephoto pics.Feedback
Well its not a regular shot , Because we have to trek aprox 1416 km in deep Himalayan ranges above 3000 meter of sea level. Where nature itself a challenge. so you have to be healthy, active & full of your emergency kit for survival. But for such phots you need have some passion as well as patience. For equipment i was using CL-polarizer for best results in water reflections along with whites clouds for better details. Always use UV filter in such High altitude to protect yous lens from any damage & scratch & to avoid more UV rays to disturb yous photos. Thanks ..Happy Clicking ..
