Location
This photo was taken on the Isle of Lunga, part of the Treshnish Isles off the West Coast of Scotland.Time
Taken easy afternoon. There were a lot of puffins around, but these two stood out as they were clicking beaks as part of a courting ritual. The flowers also added a bit of romance to the image.Lighting
Just natural lighting.Equipment
Photo was taken with a Canon 7D camera, EF70-300 f/4-5.6L IS USM lens at 104mm, 1/2000 at f4.5 ISO 320. The high speed was set because I'd been taking shots of puffins in flight, then grabbed this image when I saw it.Inspiration
In common with many people, I can't resist photographing puffins !Editing
No post-processing was used.In my camera bag
Now I mostly carry a Canon IDX2 with a 100-400 Mk2 lens and a 1.4x converter. This is an excellent combination and light enough for hiking using a Back Rapid camera strap.Feedback
You have to go on a boat trip from Mull to this island - weather is obviously variable being Scotland, so you have to be lucky with the day you pick.
