This civil war flag of the Union army was flown in battle. It was displayed at the reenactment of the St Andrews Salt Works battle. The Union Army won and took control of the St. Andrews Salt Works located in Bay county just outside of Panama City, FL. Salt was a very important commodity, used to make gun powder and to preserve food.
