I asked my friend to model for me. It was early winter and she got this new leather jacket. We walked to the nearby elementary school because of the bricks. It just felt right. I asked her show me how this jacket made her feel. The wardrobe inspired the model, and the model inspired me. The words came to my mind: Badass, Confidence, and strength. I took this picture from a low angle, looking up, like how a child would look up to a hero. Ironically, three years later, my friend ended up being hired as a teacher at this exact school.
