Behind The Lens

Location

this photo was taken on my way home through the mountains and we came pass this plot i think it was a animal park and there it was a pack of lions in a fenced up enclosure as a amatuter photographer this was quite a amazing and rare moment

Time

like i said this was on my way back home so fortunately i caught this rare moment in the golden hour period

Lighting

the lighting was all natural and had a nice crisp golden colour and feel to it

Equipment

believe it or not i am a rookie so i shot this with my canon 350D with a sigma 70-300mm lens the camera was handheld

Inspiration

as mentioned before this photo came out of true luck in terms of setup you could say that the inspiration was just the luck of having everything, a fully charged camera the lions literally less than 5 meters away from me and the perfect golden hour lighting

Editing

a little mainly cropping and minor exposure adjustments

In my camera bag

as a beginner my equipment is very small but it gets the job done in my camera bag i carry around my canon 350D a 18-55mm canon efs lens, a canon 28-90mm lens and lastly the one that to this shot a sigma 70-300mm telephoto lens

Feedback

lions do tend to give awesome action shots so keep the shutter speed fast make sure your exposure is right and lastly if you are planning to shoot animals at the zoo or fenced park a 70-300mm will do justice on keeping the fence out of the pic and it will give you a nice sharp focus on your subject
