Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken whilst on a first ever whale watching experience with my sisters, it was a little wet so my sisters and i had the front of the boat to ourselves. First time using my camera as well.

Time

It must've have been mid morning. It was overcast and we had just past through a shower. But the sea was calm and this guy was just cruising.

Lighting

I think i could've worked more on the lighting...but was caught up in the moment and just used the auto setting.

Equipment

This was shot on a nikon d600. Im a beginner and just did the whole point and shoot thing.

Inspiration

The whale...let's be honest if you see a whale you're gonna photograph it.

Editing

I'm actually only just learning how to use a big camera.

In my camera bag

I have my nikon d600 and normally carry my prime 50mm nilkor lens with me. As well as one other lens...depending on the desired pics as to what that might be.

Feedback

Hold on to the rails...coz it's bumpy!
