There's a good view of 'The Milky Way' over my bit of the UK tonight. So I went out looking for the promised perseid meteor. I didn't see any of them, but liked the look of the clear, black sky, so took this shot in 16:9 (Instead of my usual 4:3) & it's the best starfield picture I have ever taken! With such a basic camera as mine too, I'm quite pleased with it! For once.

Don't know if it's a ViewBug thing, but on my photo album software, the Milky Way is quite clear. You can hardly even see it here at all! (Should be a long, light streak right through the middle of the picture).

Just found out that you have to click on the picture to see the starfield properly.
