Behind The Lens

Location

Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge in SW Oklahoma.

Time

Probably between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

Lighting

Just typical cloudless day, bright sunshine.

Equipment

Canon Rebel EOS

Inspiration

The beetle, Cottonwood Borer, was sitting on a branch. I was hoping for a still, it flew as I was pressing the shutter button. Pure luck that it is in focus.

Editing

Cropping.

In my camera bag

Canon 7Ti, 18-55 kit lens, Raynox Magnifier, Nikon P-610, Canon AE-1 film camera with 50mm kit lens.

Feedback

Bugs can be tough. You need a lot of patience and a good macro lens helps.
