From the deck of the Missouri, the three main canons pointing forwards. The sheer size of these 300mm canons makes it impossible to imagine the life onboard such a vessel. With this picture, I tried to reflect the power of the main and center canon that can shoot near 27 miles away, a small distance compared to todays technology, but when you step aboard this ship for the first time, you go back some 70 years and just then, in a moment of your life, you start to grasp how huge and powerful this vessel was at the time. Then you realize that it took a huge workforce of dedicated men to fire the 9 canons aboard this ship and the hell they must have gone through. My only hope with this picture is to translate an emotions of that time.
