Windmills are synonymous with the Karoo, a dry region of the Northern Cape of South Africa. On my way there I saw many along the road. I spent the night at a guest house and when I opened my curtains the next morning, I saw this striking neighbour right outside my bedroom window. I wanted to capture the exact same picture I saw lying on the bed, so I took the picture lying down.Editing

I am in the beginning phase of this hobby. All my equipment is still on a wish list and none in my bag ... yet.Feedback
Composition is key. I angled the lens until the window framed the windmill perfectly. By lying down and also feeling the window frame and curtain, the impact of the size and proportion of the windmill was effectively captured, I think.
