Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken in the little country of Marzamemi, in Sicily, Italy. Marzamemi is a really old, peculiar, little country in front of the sea, once lived by fishermen.

Time

Probably across midnight or so...

Lighting

I ve used a flash light.

Equipment

I ve used a Nikon D3oos body with a 35mm 1.8G Nikkor lense, a yongnuo flash, no tripod.

Inspiration

The model shows a really melancholy expression that night, and the beauty and the stateliness of the ancient portal reminds me to a perfect place for sit and wait for something or somehow that changes her life in a hot lazy august night...

Editing

I ve post produced this shot with adobe lightroom 4. I've turn the image from colors to black&white and then add a little bit of "sephia tone" that gives the image a retro style.

In my camera bag

Right now a Nikon D810 body, a Nikkor 24-120 F4G, a sigma 105 F2.8 macro, a Travor flash and i' m waiting for a Fujifilm mirrorless system to accompany my Nikon gear.
