Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Aerospace department at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. In the hall way in lower grand, they show case different airplane engine. I love this photo because its unique, and rare to see a airplane engine in the hall way! and be able to examine different part and study how it works.

Time

It was a hot summer afternoon, I got into the department, wondering around while waiting for my husband, he came down and told me do you wanna see something cool? he took me to the hall way where the engine displays.

Lighting

All I can say there wasn't any natural light, nor any professional type of light, only two ceiling light.

Equipment

Nothing fancy only my iphone 6s, try to get the best out of it.

Inspiration

I didnt have my camera with me that day,and really wasnt up for taking photo. But I was so fascinated by learning how the engine works so I couldnt leave without any photo. Its pretty cool, how many time in your life you will pass by the airplane engine , so close to you that you are able to touch and see all the layers and parts.

Editing

No, I believe in originality and purity. When I take photo I try to capture the best shot so photo speck itself. I think when you post-process and retouch photos, yes they looks incredible and pretty but how much is it real?

In my camera bag

I take my camera whenever special I go, but I always have my phone.

Feedback

There is always something to capture, It doesn't have to be special or unique, pay attention to details and small things.think out side of the box and study the object and try different angel.
