I took this photo in Portland's Rose Garden in Washington ParkTime
4:32pm on May 3, 2016Lighting
It was very early in the season but we had a spell of really warm or hot weather in early spring. Not all but a lot of roses were already in full bloom. This one was just small and not all colored yet.Equipment
I took this photo actually with my phone - Samsung Galaxy s6 -. f/1.9. 1/395 4.30mm ISO40Inspiration
It was a small rose with this pink center right next to some that were in full bloom already. It appealed to me because it still looked fragile but determined.Editing
I only cropped the image and enhanced the color a little manly in the center.. No further processing. I tried to get a closeup, close into the center, when I took this photo. In my camera bag
I take my Nikon D3300 out a few times a week with the standard 18-55mm lens. I just got a SiGmail 70-300mm lense and I have a gorilla tripod in my box. I am in the way of getting a good size tripod - I am searching right now.Feedback
Learn, learn, learn and practice, practice, practice... I take my camera with me a lot - if I don't have it, it's my phone. I take photos everywhere I go. I started to join meetup groups to exchange and expand knowledge, meet like minded people but also earn criticism - both positive and negative - and learn.
