Location
This photo was taken in my home in Illinois.Time
This was taken during the lunch hour and the sun was coming directly in towards this part of the dining room. The lighting in the house is fabulous for different types of photos.Lighting
I sat them in these spots because of the lighting coming in directly on them.Equipment
I used my Canon rebel T3i. I have a better Nikon, but this camera without the flash is very easy to use for those quick shots without having to go into my settings.Inspiration
Panda was turning 1 and Lydia who is 3 wanted to throw her a birthday party. She wanted to invite everyone! From the lady at the McDonalds drive through to the postal carrier. It ended up just being Lydia, Panda, myself and my son who was home from college. I didn't have the heart to tell her I didn't invite anyone else. I said they were all working and couldn't come.Editing
This was one of those pictures that didn't need anything. I did add an inner light. In my camera bag
When I am on the go I really just have my camera with lens attached and in my bag is a zoom lens and a small tripod. I also always have an extra battery and extra cards.Feedback
For indoor shots like these it is all about the lighting and timing. It is really that simple. For some pictures you really only have one chance at the perfect shot, especially with kids and pets.
