Autumn Mornings

He selected a fresh canvas,
and began...

'No flowers of spring'- he decided.
'No mountains, oceans or rainbow.'
Something simple.
suave... and soothing,
With... an unusual... grandeur.

"I could use a little light."
"I should make it... a little bright."
"A little soft, a little subtle."
And I want it to be... "Just right."

He wanted to potray his enthusiasm.
He wanted to splash it with his joy.
He had to depict his dependability.
He craved to exhibit his creativity.

Not a full palette of colours,
just an assortment of hues.
A few, variety of shades.
A little different mileu.

His strokes were.. the ground.
His smudges... the sky.
His high-lights were... the air.
His shadows... the background.

An early morning slumber.
A pre-dawn sun's glow.
The land's languid awakening,
after a long night of love.

His hand went on with their work,
as he smiled at his vivid imagination.
To the world, it would be a masterpiece.
To him... Just another one of his creations.

God's composition was ready.
He added just the heading.
And when you and I see it...
We call it... "Autumn Mornings"
