To whom the race is given

African spurred tortoise. This lesson came in two parts. The first part I did not want to acknowledge because it was rather morbid to me. A few weeks ago, I heard a thump outside the egress window in the room where I do my post-processing work. It was well after midnight and I was not about to go snooping around in the dark and become a victim of some rabid beast or multiple legged creature. The next day, I was saddened to discover that it was a small rabbit that fell into the 'hole' and subsequently, died from the injuries of the fall. I felt awful. If I hadn't been such a coward, I might have been able to save the poor bunny. Meanwhile, this tortoise image I had tinkered with off and on for a couple months. It wasn't until a few days ago that I understood why I shot this image. Still, I always wait for confirmation to make sure I understood the message I was to get.

Have patience... the race was not given to the fluent or the strong, but the one who endures to the end.

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in Yahweh thy Elohim, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of Elohim, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the adversary.
