This photo was taken in my living room. I was practicing levitation techniques and after a few hours of trying to get the pages to fly this became the final result.Time
I took this photo around 1:00 PM. It was when I had the most light shining through my windows.Lighting
I wanted to shoot this photo when I had enough natural light shining through my window that would be consistent for a few hours. Due to it being a composite I didn't want to have to adjust the lighting to match in post processing. I wanted it to be all natural.Equipment
I used my trusty nikon d7100 and nifty 50. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I've seen and done multiple composites, but nothing like this. I wanted to try my hand in something new and push the boundaries of what I believed I was capable of.Editing
Yes, this photo was posted processed in photoshop. It is a combination of 4 images. 1 for the scene, for the model, and 2 for the pages. In my camera bag
I currently carry my Nikon d7100, a nifty 50, and my 85mm. That is my goto equipment for all my work. Update: I currently have my Nikon d750, nikkor 135mm and sigma 50mm added to my bag.Feedback
When shooting composites, try to stick to your vision and be patient. There are an abundance of tutorials out there than can help you achieve this look. This was my very 1st successful levitation photo. It was a learning curve, but in the end definitely worth it.
