Location
This photo was taken in far Northern Wisconsin on one of our many trips up to our camper.Time
This was taken at high noon! We had stopped to throw a couple of lures at this pristine lake, and after a couple casts, I realized how perfect the water was and the clouds on the water, so away went the fishing rod and out came the camera. This turned out to be one of my favorite photos from that trip. It's a great explination to how beautiful the wilderness is up north!Lighting
This was a perfect day considering the ratio of clouds to open sky. The sun was high over head giving the bright glow to everything but especially the clouds causing a excellent white against the beautiful blue sky.Equipment
At this point I was using a Nikon D3200, it was an upgrade for me so it went everywhere. I even started retaking photos I had taken in the past, just to see the difference in cameras. No other special equipment was needed!!Inspiration
First and foremost the beauty of the landscape itself. When you looked around and the sun, clouds, water... well everything was perfect. It was a chance to stop a moment of a great day I was sharing with the most important person to me. I still smile each time I see this photo.Editing
There wasn't much editing needed on this photo. I used a tone mapping filter to pop the clouds and give them the reach out and squeeze me puffy feeling. In my camera bag
Really basically a Nikon camera, at the time of this photo is was a D3200, but now it is a D7200, standard lens, a 70-300 lens and a few filters and magnifying lenses.Feedback
This is a right place right time photo. Carry a camera when traveling, driving in particular, and if something catches your attention don't be afraid, or in too much of a hurry to stop and capture it. Keep your mind and eyes open and your camera handy!!
