This picture was taken at Harkness Memorial state park in Waterford , ConnecticutTime
I took this photograph in the afternoon . I went to take pictures of Hummingbirds and had a nice surprise of all these butterflies landing on the flowers in the flower garden.Lighting
The flower garden was partially in some shade and some sun.Equipment
This photo was taken with a Nikon d7100 and a 300mm lens was on the camera. I did not put the camera on the tripod since I was expecting flying hummingbirds so the pictures I took were handheld.Inspiration
I saw the beautiful butterflies landing on the flowers and thought how beautiful they looked. I wanted to capture the moment since I had never seen that many butterflies at once.Editing
I shot the photo in raw and then changed it to jpeg.I probably did some sharpening of the photo and maybe some brightening. In my camera bag
I usually have some filters , a shorter lens , and extra batteryFeedback
If you love butterflies then look for flower gardens and flowers that attract them.
