CONGRATULATIONS Fatehi, and thanks for entering my City Skylines challenge.
A very worthy People's Choice .,, and certainly one of the images which caught my eye, making final selection of a winner very hard indeed.
The lighting and clarity are both superb and resisting the temptation to to 'shop' in a mirrored reflection in the river is brilliant - thank you, thank you!!
For a city so often portrayed these days for its decline and decay, I find this shot all the more inspired and optimistic. Well done - Detroit owes you one ;-) .....

Location
The photo was taken from Windsor, Ontario side between Detroit and Windsor river, I have been photographing artistic and fine art for almost 5 years now with a degree from the Institute of Photography.Time
This is my favourite skyline photograph by far, It was August of 2015 when I was walking down the river in an over casting day which minimal light and it looks like going to rain, I had to stop and Look and the Detroit renaissance centre and said 'WOW', this is the great opportunity for a long exposure as it was so cloudy, setup my tripod and camera with the 10 stop ND filter, it was about 4 minutes of exposure to smooth the water and the clouds, was so happy with the results, it was around 3 PM on August of 2015.Lighting
I wanted this image to look like my vision with silky water and silky clouds, the lighting was great and overcast day for long exposure, I wanted it to be like dreamy/real city skyline; like I see it in colours with my own eyes, which worked great for my favour.Equipment
This was shot with Canon 5D Mark III, 24-105 lens at about 27mm, 10 STOP ND Filter for long exposure, Tripod and shutter release to minimize shake during the long exposure.Inspiration
I was looking for a place to shoot city scape with long exposure as I shot many sea scape's, as i was doing my research around the area of Windsor Ontario I found this beautiful city scape and I couldn't stop looking at it for almost 10 minutes to plan the best way to convey the scene, and that was it.Editing
Usually long exposure with the ND filters gives a blue tint to the image, I had to correct the white balance manually in post and do a minimal adjustments to the shadows and sharpen the image a little bit to emphasize the details in the sky lines, since I shoot in raw; had to export it as ,JPEG after processing. In my camera bag
The first this is my Camera of course, my wide angle lens canon 24-104 f4.0 L, 70-200 f2.8 L lens as I love this lens for longer shots, shutter release, ND filters, extra batteries and extra flash card.Feedback
This weather is unpredictable especially here in Windsor, Ontario. From sunny days, cloudy, windy to snowy cold weather. Take a look around, plan and envision before you decide to click the shutter or start the setup, be patient and use the existing atmosphere to your advantage and only once this has been achieved, then It's only a matter for setting up the equipment according to your vision.
