Behind The Lens

Location

Burrator reservoir, aqua duct, Dartmoor

Time

This was taken around mid afternoon, the sun was quite high in the sky.

Lighting

Well the lighting was purely from the sun. It was quite high, but it was dipping behind some of the trees

Equipment

I used a Nikon d3300 and a sigma 70-300, it's was one of my first times actually trying to get images. I had no other equipment, no flash of tripod

Inspiration

I loved the colour, the slight reflection in the water, and the relationship between nature and man

Editing

This was the second image I ever processed on photoshop. I increased saturation slightly, to Bing out he color of the trees and also dodged the arches to bring out he detail,

In my camera bag

As I'm very amateur, I only have my Nikon d3300, a sigma 70-300 and my Nikkor kit lens.

Feedback

Pick your spot carefully, make sure you have the appropriate equipment, tripods are quite necessary, you reduce lens shake, and you can keep the same position, and still play around with different settings and lighting
