I usually prefer b/w over the color version, but this one is definitely better.

The Bird Park in Port Douglas.Time
l love capturing animals and we went for Breakfast at the bird park in Port Douglas, i think it was about 8am if l remember correctly.Lighting
This was indoors and there were skylights in the roof and they just happened to be sitting above one so the light fell on them beautifullyEquipment
Nikon D700 Nikon 70-200F2.8Inspiration
I can sit and watch animals for hours. When traveling l always visit zoos, wildlife parks etc, just ask my husband ha ha, he says seen one elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion ..., seen them all.....don't need to see another :) Even though he stirs me all the time about this he actually took me out to breakfast with the birds in Port Douglas as he knew l would love it and these 2 were there...they were amazing.Editing
The processing that was done on this image was to adjust the levels to add a bit more contrast and slight cropping of the imageIn my camera bag
Whats in my camera bag you ask.... l generally have 2 Nikon D700 cameras but l have recently purchased the Nikon D810 and that is now my preferred camera although l use them all. My lenses are all Nikon and consist of the following: 24-70 F2.8, 70-200 F2.8, 14-24 f2.8, Micro 60mm f2.8 and a 50mm f1.4. and a recent gift from my husband a 200-500 f5.6. l also have SB800 Speedlights and an LED on- camera Light.Feedback
Even though these two weren't moving, when capturing animals you just have to be patient and wait for the moment. If you love to watch them then this is not an issue at all. I love that you can see the different personalities when you watch them for long enough. Practice makes perfect :)
