Location
I captured this photo at Yosemite while I was out West for work.Time
This was taken about 1 or 2PM. Although not the best time to shoot, the clouds helped this rookie out.Lighting
I was with some friends some I didn't have time to wait for ideal conditions, just pointed and clicked.Equipment
I use a Canon 70D with the kit lense and an Amazon tripod.Inspiration
The vastness of Yosemite is unreal, this photo doesn't even do it justice. It really makes you realize how small we as humans are in this world and on the scale of time.Editing
I didn't have PS then so I used what was standard on my laptop. In my camera bag
I have my Canon 70D, 35-55 mm lens, 75-300 mm lens, polarized filter, wide angle lens, macro lens, back up battery, back up SD card and cleaning supplies.Feedback
I move around alot trying to get different prospectives, always looking back at the photos to see whats working. I was using other things for the foreground but noticed the trees and thought they'd be better than the rock. The main thing is to also enjoy the view without taking a photo. Really get the essence of the landscape than decide how it should be portrayed.
