Behind The Lens

Location

This portrait was taken in my studio.

Time

Her session was in the afternoon. She loved being snuggled down in the fluff.

Lighting

I had a single strobe light at its lowest power and a wescott umbrella with diffuser to create a softbox.

Equipment

This was shot with my Nikon D600 with my Sigma 24-70mm lens.

Inspiration

Her momther and father had her room decorated in aqua and corals. I tried to create a set that would work in her room. I like creating sets for my newborns!!

Editing

I used camera raw and Photoshop for a clean edit and adjusted the selective color for yellow to help reduce her jaundice.

In my camera bag

I have my trusty Nikon D600 and 300 with me. My favorite lenses 24-70, 85 and 70-200mm go with me too!!

Feedback

I'm still learning everyday on how to improve my posing and captures. I've learned having patience is one of the best suggestions I have to capture pictures like this, that and white noise;)
