Behind The Lens

Location

The secret garden in our local park. It's a lovely part of the park, spring and summer it blooms with so many colours. It is also a haven for bees and ladybirds.

Time

Early afternoon when the light was bright and sunny.

Lighting

All my photographs are taken as natural as can be, so the lighting has to be good. I always try to make the most of the midday sunlight.

Equipment

My first Nikon, D3200, with its 18-55mm lens. No tripod or flash. I now have a Nikon D7100.

Inspiration

The closeness that I could achieve, and also the bee landing just at the right moment.

Editing

None whatsoever.

In my camera bag

Nikon D7100, 18-55mm lens and 70-300mm Zoom/Macro lens.

Feedback

Go out when the sun is at its highest and brightest, and just capture some beautiful flower shots, be patient and you may be lucky enough to shoot a few good bee/ladybird photos. Have fun!!!
