I have been on this ride, and my kids loved it. Superstorm Sandy destroyed the pier it was on and dropped it into the ocean in Oct, 2012. It was more than a year before officials removed the structure from the water. This icon was seen on TV across the world representing the damage caused by the storm. This was the first weekend that visitors were allowed on the boardwalk after the storm. Nine months later, a fire destroyed much of the rest of the boardwalk
