Location
This picture was taken in Arlington tx at a beautiful park know as legacy park.Time
This was taken around 3:00pm on easterLighting
The lighting for this photo was absolutely perfect. I prefer to use as much natural light as possible so when I saw this corner I loved the overhead light coming through the trees and used it as if it were a spotlight I placed there my self.Equipment
I used my Canon rebel xs that was given to me as a gift to persue my goal of becoming a photography. The lens I used was Canon zoom lens EF-S 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS and that was it.Inspiration
As i was walking around looking for the spot to take a photo I noticed this corner. This coener was passed by so many but to my eye and imagination I could already how this photo would turn out. I loved the simplicity of the area, the textures of the brick and trees, the rusted rails and how everything put together made a beautiful backdrop for a little girl in a clean white dress.Editing
All I did to this picture was a add a dash of shadow to show the detail of the background and the dress. In my camera bag
In my bad I carry my camera the Canon rebel, my 2 lenses, the canon zoom lens I mentioned before and my Quantaray AF 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 LD TELE-MACRO(1:2) lends. I also carry my Sunpack DigiFlash 3000 electronic flashFeedback
Advice I would give to someone trying to capture something similar would to let your eye look to unique areas that any other person would just past it without a second thought, play with angles I've laid flat on the floor before to get the perfect shot and not to force the emotion of the person you are photographing. Raw emotion captured will be some of your best work.
