Location
This photo was taken in my backyard on our crabapple tree. It attracts numerous bees during the flowering season.Time
It was at 9:26 a.m. during the winter month of January. The morning light was defused through the tree's flowery crown. There was dew and the background was sky blue.Lighting
The blue background with greenish hues came through beautifully and made a great contrast to the white flowers.Equipment
Canon EOS 5D Mark III f/16 1.6 sec. 65 mm no flashInspiration
I've always wanted to photograph a bee in action. This particular morning was cold and dewy. Therefore, the mobility of the bee was slowed down enough to be able to capture this shot.Editing

Although I own a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, I mostly use my Canon Rebel T6i. In my opinion, it captures colors better. My favorite lens is the EFS 17-55mm IS. I have the same lens for the 5D but it doesn't come in IS! I also own the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 IS, Canon EF 300Mm F/4L IS, Canon 400mm - f/2.8, SIGMA 180mm f/2.8 OS macro, SIGMA 20mm f1/4 DG, Canon 50mm f/1.2, SIGMA 10mm f2.8 Fisheye, SIGMA 15mm f2.8 Fisheye.Feedback
