Behind The Lens

Location

The call of the green, 3rd hole on the Gleniffer Lake resort and CC I live right there, and this storm was looming large,I stepped outside to lock things down, and a sun burst appeared and punched through and flashed the green in the most inviting way.

Time

It was in the afternoon and we had just literally driven our brand new off the lot SUV, and I was rushing to secure everything before the storm hit and worried that it could be hail and damage the new car and the the sunburst through and flashed the green, I grabbed my cell phone and took the shot, In that moment I feared the storm and appreciated Mother Nature all in one breath.

Lighting

Mother Nature took care of the light and the dark and I just headed for cover.

Equipment

I used an IPhone 6s and when I got a chance to have a look I knew it was the coolest photo ever, and knew that I only got the shot because of my phone.

Inspiration

I was inspired to take the photo because of the storm it was about to befall mountains of hail and damage on our home and our brand new vehicle, so I was taking a shot of the clouds in case I had to claim damages from a storm. Totally by chance did the sun peek through in that moment.

Editing

It was a cell phone shot and nature at its best, I lightened the exposure a bit to highlight the colours I was seeing.

In my camera bag

I don’t have a camera just my cell phone but I’m an artist and love nature and light and reflections and effects these natural things create their own life, and my friends always compliment my photos and tell me I have great captures because of my creative eye,

Feedback

I just think the only thing is to look around, always notice the changes around you and let your creative shine through. I’m sure a beautiful camera would make my photos so much better but would I have time to capture those interesting natural phenomenon maybe not all of them, but on the other hand it’s beyond amazing some of photos people capture. It’s all amazing just get out there look around.
