Location
I was on the top deck of a city tour bus in New York. It stop outside the Empire state building and when I looked up I thought this is perfect.Time
This was taken midmorning. The day before had been a cool and rainy day but when I woke in the morning it was sunny and dry. Taking the city tour bus was a spur of the moment idea.Lighting
I prefer black and white for me it can add more atmosphere to a picture. I liked it in colour but when I edited the photo I loved the contrasts in the picture and the different sizes shades. I liked how the cloud seem to stand out more almost like a whimsical hat.Equipment
This was shot on a Sony a200 with a 3.5-5.6/18-70 lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
It was my first time in New York and I was looking to create as many memories as possible. I also like taking pictures from different angles giving a different perspective on things.Editing
Usually I change layer my photos and change saturation or gently mute some colour. However, with this picture I only changedid it to black and white. In my camera bag
As a full time student at university I don't normally carry my camera's with me but when I do I normally carry my Samsung galaxy 3G and my Sony a200.Feedback
New York is amazingly beautiful but very busy. Stop take your time and look around.
