A Lioness with her four grown cubs took down a full size male cape buffalo. We were watching this group earlier as they tried to separate out one of the younger buffalo only to be chased off by the bulls. The lions finally gave up and move to higher ground for a midday rest. We were about 2 miles away when a call came over the radio that a lone bull had just walked into the lions’ lair. You can see the result. It only took a few minutes to take down this huge animal.
