I was shocked to look out my window one morning and see this little fawn inside our calf pen with our six calves. My first thought was "How did it get in there?" My second was "Where's it's mother?" and my third was "Where's my camera?" I went out and slowly went near the fawn and when I crouched down the fawn walked right over to me and sniffed me. I didn't pet him or her because I heard that's not usually a good thing to get your smell on the babies, but I sure wanted to. The fawn eventually showed me how it had gotten in by sliding out through the gate and walking off into the woods.
