These canyons are crumbling right before our eyes. The huge stone walls collapse from each year’s freeze and thaw. During summer monsoons, the slurry of water and stone grinds down the gorge, furthering it’s vast expanse. When the particulate and dust settles, eventually it will harden back into stone and continue the cycle over and over for eons.
